I have been so busy with our 4 baptisms and my new calling. Our new mission president is cool! He owes my companion and I a steak dinner, a night in the mission home, a video, and breakfast! He has a deal that if any of us get 4 baptisms in a month, we get all of the above.
Elder Douglass and I were the first to do it. We are so happy to see Brother and Sister Smith join the church! It has been a 5 month uphill battle, but God did it. We helped just a little. The other 2 people that got baptized were Luke Templeton (an 8 year old) and Mark Devos (a 17 year old). Brother Smith's attitude has changed drastically since his baptism on July 26. It's neat!
You are probably wondering what my new calling is, huh? It is Zone Leader! And my companion is Elder Call! Both of us are new at this job so we're still learning. It's a challenge, but I'm looking forward to it!
After last month, I have a strong testimony of fasting! That is how 4 baptisms were made possible! I know it! There are 2 new sister missionaries and one new elder coming into our zone tomorrow. It will be exciting! I can remember when I came out. My attitude wasn't the greatest, but I've grown 1,000 times over!
