Dear Shanell,

Our baptism changed to this Saturday, January 11. We are very excited! We decided to come write our letters on the beach today. Our new address is 7 Ralph Street, Port Noarlunga. I am not sure how long I will be in this area. I was sent to this area to help the family that is getting baptized. It is the Snell family. We are baptizing the father, Ian, mother, Edith, and 10 and 11 year old girls. The 11 year old has some sort of sickness since birth and is adopted. Her mind works fine, but her body is crippled. It is necessary that she be baptized because her mind is good and she does know the difference between good and bad. It will be such a joy to see a family baptized. I am excited for it.

The missionary work is going well. We are working with some super people. I just finished the D&C and I am on Chapter 17 of 1 Nephi. I have read the New Testament, D&C, and 1/3 of the Old Testament. I love chapter 13 of Nephi. I also love Alma 34:17. It talks about exercising your faith by repentance. Alma 34 is great, too, and tells us our whole purpose for life--to prepare to meet God. I know I am preparing for that now in honoring my priesthood.

I appreciate all your encouragement and support.

Love,
Elder Wallentine
